Ara Chackerian and TMS Solutions Pioneer Treatments for Depression

Ara Chackerian wears a number of professional hats. He is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, businessman, and investor. He has the knowledge, the experience, and the financial means to pursue his professional interests. He is presently the Managing Partner of ASC Capital Holdings, LLC. His company invests in health care companies during their early stages of formation. He also helped co-found TMS Health Solutions where he is also a board member. He is also a board member for a number of early-stage healthcare companies in the Bay Area. Several companies include PipelineRX, and Mint Medical Education.

His company provides a treatment called transcranial magnetic stimulation. This treatment works well for people that suffer from a condition known as treatment resistant depression. Before his involvement with TMS Health Solutions, Chackerian’s career centered around investing and entrepreneurship. Health-tech companies and health servicing were his fields of choice. His experience in building health companies spans two decades. Check out

TMS Health Solutions came about as a desire of Chackerian and his business partner to build out-patient diagnostic radiology centers to other healthcare areas. As such, he and his partners spent more than a decade build a network of these centers in Northern California. Psychiatric care is a critical component of healthcare. As such, Chakerian believes that TMS health solutions can make a major impact. The therapy works especially well for patients who suffer from depression. Unfortunately, there is little awareness about the treatment and its benefits at present.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation has the potential, in the mind of Chackerian, to help thousands of patients who suffer from medication resistant depression. Such depression exists when taking antidepressants, or attending psychological counseling is not enough to help patients recover. Chackerian studied the present models of out-patient psychiatric treatment, and found they were not designed to support treatments that were device-based. The TMS model of treating patients enables both the patient and physician to realize their desired outcomes.

Environmental causes are also within his scope of interest. Ara Chackerian invested in a sustainable reforestation plantation in Nicaraugua. He can also add several youth development non-profits like JUMA Ventures, and Nor Luyce to his resume. You can visit his Facebook page.
